Who we are
Prairie Integrity Services was founded on a simple idea:
Compliance shouldn’t be complicated — and integrity shouldn’t depend on luck.
After nearly two decades working in inspection and reliability across Alberta’s energy sector, I saw the same pattern again and again:
smart people buried under red tape, programs that looked compliant on paper but weren’t functional in the field, and good inspectors fighting to do the right thing in a system that made it harder than it needed to be.
So, I built Prairie Integrity to give operators something better — independent, practical support from someone who’s actually lived the challenges they face.
Meet the Founder
Shaun Rayner
15+ years of experience in pressure equipment integrity, risk-based inspection, QA/QC, and regulatory compliance.
I started out in NDE fresh out of high school, cutting my teeth on Alberta’s oil and gas sites. Over time, I moved into asset integrity management, inspection leadership, risk based inspection and worked as Chief Inspector for several years— where I led RBI implementation, inspection planning, and global alignment across the company’s facilities.
Today, I work directly with clients across Western Canada, helping them develop and sustain inspection programs that stand up to regulators and make operational sense.
What We Stand For
-
We do what’s right, not what’s easy — even when no one’s watching.
-
Paperwork matters, but results matter more. Every recommendation must make operational sense.
-
Clients don’t need more procedures — they need usable systems and defensible decisions.
-
We don’t just hand over reports; we help your team build confidence in the process.
